Javascript Coding for Children Yes or No?

My son informed me he had an interest in learning to code. It was a minimal casual comment that he probably didn't even know I noticed. When I came across the program Simply Coding I wanted to know how serious he was about coding. Was it a casual comment or was it a real interest to learn. I asked him if I got the program would he actually work with it to learn. He said of course. My son and I have worked together to bring you this eye opening review!

My son has worked with his coding most of the day. He said there were a good deal of files he had to download but that it was simple to do. If you can navigate a computer much at all you can get the files. He was moving right along in lesson one making progress and his game was taking shape. Then he learned what one small mishap can cause. His game vanished. Yes, that is right, it was gone after all that work! I was sure we had met the end of the road. His interest in coding would be buried along with a dozen other ventures he has had over the years such as guitar but this time was different. This course had tweaked his interest for more than a whim. He looked through the code trying to decide what happened. Dad and I know nothing about coding so looking at the screen to us was like a foreign language. Thank goodness for the chat help that is provided with this course. He got in touch with them and in just a few minutes he was back on track and moving along again.

My son is loving this new knowledge and I am loving that he is learning a wonderful new skill to possibly shape his future and getting in his class hours while doing. My son is 12, a 6th grader who just this year we decided to home school so we are accomplishing two tasks at once.

From the wisdom of my 12 year old he says this course is a challenge but that he does like it. He is an intelligent child who can pick up almost anything if he really wants to so I have no doubt that he can complete this accredited 30 hour course. If he keeps seeking coding with the excitement he is now I am very interested in the other courses in this series of accredited courses. He did say that since he is struggling that maybe the age should be a little higher on this course but I think it is because he has not had any experience with this type of thing before.

The course is laid out nicely. There are videos and not just a bunch of reading so this helps to actually show what you need to do. As the instructor completes each task he is talking telling you what he is doing and why. So you have a visual from the video, audio from his words, and then you can read along also. Great for different types of learners. Once you are done watching the video you can perform the tasks and build your game as you follow along. At the end of each part of the lesson there is a quiz to test that you are learning and not just following along blindly. He is very excited because at the end of the course you will have game that you can upload and honestly play. It is not just a lesson that goes away as you walk through, it comes together to form a true game, your very own creation.

Overall we are both excited about this opportunity to complete this course. It is wonderful skills to have. It appears to be something he is interested in. I am very proud of his progress and determination to learn this. The course in my opinion is great. He is learning and it shows in the progress he is making. Though he is making some mistakes those are areas that he is having to work on and will not likely make the same mistake next time. If you have a child with a technical mind who enjoys this type of stuff I would highly recommend this product.

A Double Doozy

It is no secret that I love Valentia products. You can imagine how happy I was when I realized I was going to get to try two more new products from the brand. I was chosen to try a skin detoxifying mask and an exfoliating scrub.Both products are amazing and here is the reason that I say that.

Both products performed with amazing results. The products are both in easy open and close jars. The exfoliating scrub is in a smaller jar than most Valentia products but there is still plenty of product for your buck. This jar is also a dark color instead of the normal light. I liked the change up. It adds a bit of different look to my Valentia collection. The clay mask had a nice light smell. I think it smells really good but is not full of perfume. The exfoliating scrub had very little smell at all.

Both products are easy to use with a slight difference between the two. When using the clay mask there is an approximately a 20 minute wait while the product works. The exfoliating scrub is much like a face wash. You put the scrub on your face and can then immediately wash it off with no wait time for it to work. Personally I prefer a no wait time but the time spent waiting for the clay mask to work is well worth the results you will get. This being said the clay mask sits up during your wait time. It will turn a white color and it reminded me of a mime. Some ladies will probably want to hide out while the mask works its magic. I chose to go sit with my husband while I waited in which he told me that mamma looked weird. If you call looking like a mime weird than yes I would agree that I did.The scrub goes on clear but can be washed off so you do not have to worry about anyone seeing you. Both products will wash right off with a cloth and warm water. You can choose to shower to get it off or just wash your face at the sink. Either way will work fine.

These products left my skin feeling fresh and smooth. I loved the softness and the glow that I had after using these products. I am once again extremely satisfied with my decision to give these products a try.I had no negative side effects from using either product. The clay mask did get warm on my face when I first applied it and I was worried that I would not be able to use it but the heat soon subsided and I had no further problems. I remain a huge Valentia fan!

OOOHHH Cushy Soft

I work in an office and sit for the largest part of my day. We all know how hard sitting all day can be on your back, neck, and circulation. I had saw the Pillow Ease advertised but I have been burned so many times on that "as seen on TV stuff" that I was almost afraid to even think about buying one. I was scrolling though product offers to review on one of my review sites one night and there was the Pillow Ease. Of course I had to apply. I was ecstatic when I got the email that I had been chosen to review the product!

When I got the product the first thing I noticed was that it was amazingly soft. Not only was it soft to sit on but it was soft to the touch because of the gray cover that it was inside. Along with the pillow I also received a black cover. This is excellent because I will be able to wash the cover to keep it clean and nice and still have my pillow! The pillow was not a tiny cushion but of a good size so that even a large bum could comfortably fit, trust me on this, mine did!

This cushion has worked miracles on my back pain from sitting at work. Before my back would literally feel like it was going to break and I would wonder if I could make it through the day. Since I have been using this product my back may feel a little uncomfortable if I sit constant for too long but it does not hurt any where near as bad as it did just sitting in my chair. I get up and stretch and walk around a few minutes when I sit back down I am feeling tons better and ready to get back to work.

This is not a product that can only be used at work or home either. You can even use this in your car. I found it very nice in my car but could not use my seat warmers and thus do not use it often in my car since it is winter. It also sits you up fairly high in the seat so you must make adjustments to mirrors, the seat, and the steering wheel to drive comfortably and safely.

Now the size of the cushion as mentioned earlier is of pretty good size. This is both a blessing and a curse! It is wonderful for your sitting comfort but horrible if you need to transport the product from place to place. It is a bit of an awkward shape and the thickness of the cushion means it is not a simple mush it up and go. You will need a free hand or arm pit to carry this cushion in. I usually grab mine by one of the sides and kind of just hug it up to me and go.

Overall I like this product. It is comfortable to use and helps relieve some of the pain and tension in my back.I feel this product performs as it promises and deserves a 5 star rating. I am very glad that I decided to give this product a try though I was a bit skeptical in the beginning. If you sit and experience pain in your back this is a product well worth trying.

Hair Styling Challenged Ladies I Have Finally Found A Product For Us!!!

 I will be the first to admit when it comes to hair styling I am totally at the end of the line. I hate having to dedicate precious minutes and hours that I could have been sleeping, fearing I am going to burn myself, and also fearing that only half my hair will come out looking like it should. Yes, I am hair styling challenged! Challenged or not I have finally found a product that delivers a neat frizz free straight style every time. That product that I am sure has your interest peaked is the Bermuda detangling fast straightener.

This is the most simple hair styling product that I have ever used in my life. All you have to do is press and hold the power button a few seconds, set the temp you desire, allow it to heat to the chosen temp and begin to style. It takes a very short time to have your hair perfectly straight and polished. If you can brush your hair, I promise you this is a product that you too can use!

The temp you will need to set will depend on the type of hair you have (thick, thin, curly). The booklet that comes in with your brush can tell you depending on your type of hair what temp you will likely need. You can also do as I have done and just experiment with the temp. I like to start out with as low a temp as I can. I feel like my hair has a less chance of damage at lower temps plus the lower the temp setting the faster you are ready to style and go.

The brush is not like a regular flat iron. If you touch it to your scalp and skin you will not instantly feel a burn. In fact don't be afraid of the brush. You need some pressure to be sure your hair is fully in the bristles so that you get the straightening results you are trying to accomplish. Even at full temp the brush will not burn you.

This brush has a nice design. The power button and temp controls are located on the side of the handle. The power button is the top circular button and the temp controls are right under it. The plus of course raises the temp and the minus will lower it. The temp gauge is on the back of the handle. It is very clear but do take note it reads in Celsius not in Fahrenheit degrees.

The brush is not difficult to hold even for those with diseases and such that can challenge your grip. I have Neuropathy and if an item is too bulky or heavy I just can not hold on to it for very long. My hands will hurt and cramp. Usually this results in me in pain and the item dropped or laying not likely to be used unless I just have to. This brush was exceptional. I had no problems using it. It did not heat up and I could not hold it. It does get warm the closer your hands are to the bristles of the brush but it does not get hot enough to burn you. I have used this product numerous times and not once have I had cramps in my hands that enabled me to continue using the brush until my hair was done.

Speaking of being done, I have accomplished my polished look in less than 30 minutes and this is including warm up time for the brush. It warms up very quickly I might add. This is with me being in no hurry what so ever and just taking my time. You can see why I love this product so much. I can finally fix my hair before I leave for work in the morning without having to get up an hour earlier to do it!

I give this product a 5 out of 5 star rating. I chose this rating because this is a very good product that performs as it promises to do unlike many products on the market today. The product is very simple to use which is a big factor in my rating. It is also time saving when compared to products such as flat irons that give a similar result. I have not been burned or in pain using this product even once. This brush is also right on par with the price of many products that perform similar tasks, so it is very much worth the investment. It didn't hurt that the product comes in pink which is my favorite color. I have also seen these products available in white and black if pink is not a color you adore.

Can You Resist to Take a Selfie???

Mr. Selfie is another of the books in the parody series Little Miss and Mr. ME, ME, ME  by Dan Zevin that I have been reading. This book similar to the other two that I have read in this series and is very short and full of pictures. This one too has some very humorous situations that are best kept among the adults.

I decided to read this book because I have enjoyed the previous books I have read in this series and also because it is so common today to see people just out of the blue stop to take a selfie. People, just like Mr. Selfie, can decide to take a selfie in some of the weirdest places. It is a good idea to choose your selfie spot carefully or else you might end up just like Mr.Selfie in the hospital!

Poor Mr. Selfie would risk everything to get that perfect selfie. His job was put at stake and lost when he was sure he would be climbing up in the ranks. Another lesson selfie takers the world over can learn, do not take selfies at work! You could end up moving right on out the door instead of up the ladder just like Mr.Selfie.

If you enjoyed Mr. Men and Little Miss series by Roger Hargreaves as a child these are a wonderful series of books for you to take a look at. They are very short and will require little time to read but they are almost certain in that small amount of time to make you laugh and smile a bit. Share these books with your friends, share them with your family, but what ever you do keep them out of the reach of your children!

Ultra Hydration Mask without the Mess of All the Mud

Ladies we all like to look our best, I mean let's admit it. The better we can look by the simpler means the better, right? Well here is just another wonderful Valentia product that I have added to my collection. This one like the others is awesome!

This product is a mask but it is not a mud mask that will make you feel like you need to hid out while it does its work. In fact, I used this mask and then came out into the living room with my family to talk with them while I waited for it to work its magic. The product is almost a lotion texture. This product goes on colorless when applied despite its golden yellow color in the jar. The product did not have much of a scent at all, it is what I would call just plain, neither unpleasant or pleasant. There were certainly no perfume additives to irritate the face.It is so very simple to apply. All you need to do is rub the product into your face avoiding your eye area. You will then wait 15-30 minutes before washing your face with a cloth and warm water.

The mask is not difficult to remove and will come right off with the warm water and cloth. You do not have to scrub your face for removal just a soft gentle touch will take it right off. Your face will be left soft and glowing once the mask is removed. I did not see any irritation or dry skin once the mask was removed and I waited the full 30 minutes before removing mine. There was a nice soft tingle on my skin but there was nothing painful during any of this process.

You do not need to use very much of the product at a time. A little bit will go a long way. This means the 4 fl.oz will last a good deal of time. This will save you money because you will not have to buy any more facial masks for a good while! Saving money is always a plus.

This is a wonderful product I am very happy with. The jar was as well designed as the product. It was easy to open even with the challenges I face with opening things with my hands. The lid was both easy to remove and replace. The lid sealed nicely on the jar.

If you enjoy a nice clean feel and appearance to your face this is a product I would highly recommend. Since there is no perfume scent it could work well for either gender. Do realize it will take a bit of time for the product to work each time you use it but that this is a product you can carry on your daily activities while you wait. We should all be able to steal 15-30 minutes out of a day ever now and then for the sake of our own skin!
