Permission Granted, Go Ahead & Like It Book Review

book cover

We live in a culture where it seems like we are always "liking" something from a friends Facebook status to the smell of honey suckle in our front yard. I admit I am as guilty as the next person for jumping on the liking bandwagon. When I saw this book dedicated to the "liking" craze and created in a crafty manner I knew it was a read for me! I am so glad that I made that decision because this is a very cute and clever creation from Jacqueline Suskin.

I loved reading through this book. It was well illustrated and written in a light, stop for a minute and think tone. Though the book was short it was inspiring from the very first page I read. I enjoyed the way this book was constructed based on handwritten messages layered onto beautiful backgrounds. Being the crafter that I am while reading through the pages I became inspired to do more than just read the words...I decided to do a few of my own scrapbook pages dedicated to a few things I like. Pictures of these creations will follow this review.

Overall I give this book a 5 star rating. I chose this rating because I enjoyed reading this book and would be honored to share it with my family and friends. I was inspired by this book to do more than just thumb through pages, I took the advice the author suggested and made my own "I LIKE" creation. This book hit on many of the hobbies that I have making it a perfect match for myself!

I did receive a copy of Go Ahead & Like It from Blogging for Books for this review but that fact had no bearing on the review that is written. This is my true honest opinion of what I just read. If you think Go Ahead & Like It by Jacquelin Suskin might be of interest to you here are a few links for you.
